CONSULTANCY

ISL have completed assignments both in the UK and Overseas. These have ranged from assisting a Lloyd's Managing Agent with claims procedures, streamlining a Lloyd's broker's processing systems and auditing financial institutions on behalf of Underwriters to strategic issues in starting up a new operation in Europe.

ISL has provided Interim Management for Compliance and Financial Control functions.

Projects have included:

• Preparing the State reinsurance company of Nepal for Privatisation.
• Participating in the PHARE programme to upgrade the insurance sector in Slovenia.
• Co-ordinating Technical papers and providing Sponsors for the first virtual conference on Insurance and Financial services (over 16,000 registrants worldwide) supported by Lloyd's and The Chartered Insurance Institute.
• Reporting on the feasibility of privatising NICOM - National Insurance Corporation of Nigeria on behalf of the Nigerian Government's Bureau of Public Enterprise.
• Providing Insurance Advisory Services, funded by the European Union's TACIS programme, to the Russian Federation and the All-Russian Insurer's Association.
• Initiating in the formation of The Compliance Clearing House to meet the requirements of the Financial Services Authority for the authorisation of Intermediaries.
